Hockey simulation. NHL 07 is a challenging sequel to the previous hockey games, which suggests lots of enhancements which make the game even more challenging. The game isn't so easy to master; the learning curve is rather high, even for those who are fan of hockey games. The control system is not very easy as well. The game in defense is almost the same as it was in previous NHL games. There is just not much strategy needed in defense. You have a possibility to choose from three suggested game modes: world tournament, franchise and shootout. The world tournament mode hasn't changed since the previous games. The franchise mode includes realistic salary cap, contract signing and much more. In multiplayer option you can play either in ranked or unranked matches, track stats and other things. The online play is rather solid.
