Action/Third-person shooter. The Club adds some drive to shooter genre, but you can not say that it is just about taking down maximum number of targets. The game is a bit deeper, since you earn points for several criteria, namely speed, distance, and difficulty. There is also a combo multiplier that goes up with each kill but continuously ticks down in between. Though style is part of the game in that The Club awards more points based on making tough kills or head shots, the attempts to put visual and aural style into the game are a flop. The premise of the game, a club that is so powerful it can hold death tournaments and force contestants to kill hundreds of people in broad daylight, is rather corny. There is also multiplayer mode that allows you to take down targets together with players from all over the world.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
The Club offers you to plunge into severe and quite primitive game atmosphere. Wherever you are sent by cruel millionaires . a city enveloped in war, a country palace, an old prison, a store, streets of Venice, a soviet nuclear bunker, or ocean liner, the way to victory is always the same. Do not expect that you will walk wherever you want, there are nearly no forks or branching here, except make a step to pick up first aid kits or ammo. When the multiplier counts down, there is no time for excursions. But you manage to have a look at locations because you have to visit each from 8 maps at least six times within the tournament. Those, who shoot quicker and better receive the bullet-medal, the losers are chidden but allowed to proceed to the next round, bringing closer to the final round. All in all, the Club is surely not for everyone and the majority of players will give it up in few hours, but there is another kind of gamers, so called .obsessive., they will play for a long time and like it.
