Genre and what to do:
Adventure game. You are Nicholas Farepoynt and you are invited to the town of Carvon to investigate some murders. All the game's events take place in medieval England . At the beginning of the game you should read the back-story from the screen. You have particular talents which you must use throughout the game. Use a sword to fight all the beasts. Among your enemies are: demons, vampires, etc. The state of your health is always shown on the screen. You may restore it by potions or by sleep. A compass and map help you to maintain your orientation.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
The graphics is gorgeous; everything is depicted in the smallest details. You may rotate the camera the view 360 degrees anytime you want. There is a soundtrack throughout the game which bears the mood of despair. Listen to Nicholas' speech in between scenes.
