|January 24 1963, in Toronto, took place a match between Buddy Rogers and Aloysius Martin "Lou" Thesz for the NWA World Title in a heavyweight weight. The match was played by the rules "one fall match", despite the fact that title matches required at least two "falls". Thesz defeated Rogers, winning the title. But promoters of one of the offices of NWA (CWC) Joseph Raymond "Toots" Mondt and Vince McMahon did not recognize Thesz as a champion and in protest announced coming out of CWC from the NWA. They formed the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). In April, Buddy Rogers was awarded the new WWWF world title at heavyweight. In 1971 WWWF again became a member of NWA.
In March 1979, the Federation was renamed to the WWF (World Wrestling Federation). In 1980, WWF outbids son of Vince McMahon Sr. - Vince McMahon, Jr., and in 1982 again displays the WWF from the NWA. Vince is the main reformer wrestling. In 1983, WWF receives space on national television (USA Network, the show WWF All-American Wrestling). McMahon signed a contract with Hulk Hogan, and January 23, 1984 Hogan beats Iron Sheik, winning the world title in the WWF Heavyweight Championship, actually a first WWF title. Vince McMahon began buying up many offices NWA, forming a big wrestling monopoly.
March 31, 1985 Vince is for everyone to see the new format of the show - WrestleMania. After appearance of WrestleMania, people for the first time started talking about a new format of "sports entertainment", invented by McMahon. In the WWF made their debut such well-known wrestlers from the AWA and NWA, such as Randy Savage Dj, Jake Roberts, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Marty Jannetty, Jerry Lawler, Harley Race, Rick Rude, and others. But all the main events of the Federation, took place with mega-star - Hulk Hogan. There is such a term – "Hulk-O-Mania". March 29, 1987 goes off the largest in a history of wrestling show - WrestleMania III. There were more than 93 thousands of spectators. During this show - Hulk Hogan defeated Andre the Giant.|
