The first descriptions of the actual cards are VII-VIII centuries. These cards were Chinese "money cards" that have not yet been PLAYING. Cash cards typically consisted of three kinds, the first of which was a coin, the second - hundreds of coins and the third - tens of thousands of coins. Naturally, the third-highest suit trump everything else, the younger the same suit was the first, and is just a coin. Sometimes all three of these suits have added a fourth, representing the hundreds of thousands of coins. In each suit was on nine cards, rated from one to nine. Besides them, the deck is sometimes added and additional cards, as relating to some suits, and different from all of them. In this deck could contain several cards of one rank and value, thus the number of cards in the deck at times reached a hundred. Maps were rectangular and often were much longer and narrower modern playing cards.
These cards were intended rather for divination and other rituals, but not for the game. The very first mention of Chinese playing cards refers to 1120. These cards are modern and included the four suits, usually of nine cards each.
