Other, older firms that were focused on the production of arcade games do not go into debts. Thus, one can mention the game Gods (Konami), as well as several games firms Titus (Titus the Fox: to Marrakesh & Back, Series Prehistorik). Apparently, the possibility of such games is far from being exhausted, so that the "boom" will continue for some time.
So, what is characterized by a game of this type? The game usually consists of a series of successive levels not linked logically. Under no logical connection refers to the fact that knowledge of the prehistory of the game is not necessary to pass a specific level, although in terms of plot or outside the formal communication levels of the game can be consistent.
The basic principle is the following: the level of two-dimensional game space and the hero of the game may be relatively free to move on it. It is possible to move both horizontally (on the surface platform) and vertically (down the stairs or jumping on a high surface position). These two basic elements, and given the name of this type of games (English term - platforms & ladders).
Level structure
Level itself but has labyrinth-like structure so that movement on it and hit the desired point can be extremely difficult. Under the freedom of movement in this case means that it does not automatically scroll the screen (as in many other games of the genre), deprives the hero to return to an earlier area. |
