Genre and what to do:
    Elden Ring modification called - Elden Ring: Survival Mode was made by modder under the nickname Grimrukh, the author of one of the largest and most popular fan additions for Dark Souls - Daughters of Ash. According to the author, some of the standard mechanics in an action RPG are rarely used, so he tried to make them as useful as possible in his expansion.
    What brings Survival Mode to the game:
    Hunger and thirst, recipes for various dishes, the ingredients for which can be obtained by hunting wild animals.
    Diseases which the player can catch. They differ by region, worsening various characteristics of the character, or hastening the onset of hunger or thirst. The ability to create cures for diseases using ingredients found in World Between. An immune system that will eliminate the possibility of constantly being infected with the same disease.
    A new system for creating items and things, both items and weapons. For example, players will be able to create a dagger by combining metal pieces and a spike.
    Over 300 weapon recipes with the ability to improve them. Darker and scarier nights during which the player can face much greater dangers than before. Modder Grimrukh provided an ability to disable some innovations in his mod, which players might not like. Or to find to hardcore. If desired, players will be able to disable individual parts of the addon if they do not like them. The mod should be released on June 6th and, as usual, should be free.
