History of Horse riding

| June 23, 1894 in Paris at Sorbonne in the Great Hall, took part a special committee to reestablish the Olympic Games. Its lead secretary was Pierre de Coubertin. Then an International Olympic Committee (IOC) was formed, that included the most authoritative and honest citizens of many countries.
By decision of the IOC - Olympic Games first took place in April 1896 in the Greek capital on Panathinaikos stadium. Coubertin energy and enthusiasm of the Greeks overcame many obstacles and allowed to perform a scheduled program of Olympics Games. The audience watched a colorful opening ceremony with delight, and closing ceremonies of the renowned festival of sports, and rewarding of competition winners. Interest to the competition was so great that on the marble stands of Panathinaikos stadium planned for 70 000 seats, was sitting 80 000 spectators! The success of renowned Olympic Games was recognized by the public and press in many countries. |
