Logic puzzle. Begin unforgettable adventure in companion with Professor McGuffog and the ancient magical statue, named Topex in order to restore the former glory and blossom of El Dorado. There are two game modes: Quest and Arcade. Quest Mode offers you to explore different Mayan locations searching for gems and raising in the treasure hunting rank. Game play goes in the following way: there is a grid in the center of the game board with hidden gems behind it. The numbers on top and left side indicate how many gems are hidden in a column or in a row. The other tiles are cursed and you can't touch them. Your task is to find hidden gems and break cursed tiles using a hammer before time runs out. As you play well you earn magic glue that helps to correct wrong moves. On completing every location you proposed to play exciting bonus round that make game play much interesting and vary. Arcade Mode challenges you to achieve maximum score before the sun sets over the ancient temple. Here, you are to build a pyramid using hidden gems. It differs from Quest Mode in the following: if you solve a complete row or a column it is replaced by new one.

Gemsweeper is a captivating game that brings you tons of fun and helps to develop logical thinking. It features colorful detailed graphics, diverse sound effects and appropriate instrumental music. Graphics is well rendered and done. You surely like Professor McGuffog, who appears from time to time giving you hints and cracking jokes. There is quite simple storyline that begins with introduction and continuous in cut-scenes between levels in the form of comics strip. The game also includes comprehensive tutorial that teach you nut and bolts of Gemsweeper. All in all, Gemsweeper is the worth playing game, especially for those whose brain needs constant food.
