Genre and what to do:
Mahjongg. Play as an experienced detective in the 83rd precinct of the Metro City police and stop the rise of organized crime led by the city's godfather Don Diamante. Game play can be described in the following way: you visit a crime scene, where you get a text description of what has happened there. In order to detect the crime you need to collect clues by playing mahjong game. The rules of mahjongg are quite simple: you need to match pairs of available tiles thus removing them from the board. Available tiles are those, which have at least one side edge free and there is no any tile on top of it. Mismatched tiles can be placed into so called evidence bag, but you have limited space, so think thoroughly before you click. If you get stuck, you can also shuffle the tiles or receive a hint. As you match tiles you unearth some clues that help you to unmask the suspect from the list of criminals. For example you may find out gender, weight, hair color, blood type, criminal's occupation, hobby, etc. After that you look through description of the suspects, compare information and point out the perpetrator. In addition to above mentioned there are numerous special tiles, interesting mini-games and manifold game modes that make Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion much interesting and various.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion is the captivating game that combines classic mahjongg with find-the-clue board game. It features colorful graphics, annoying sound effects and suitable instrumental music. Graphics is not a work of art, but everything looks decent from different crime scenes, such as a rooftop, shopping mall, restaurant, subway and casino to the tiles that with handcuffs, bullets, fingerprints, scales, magnifying glasses, briefcases, razorblades and cell phones. There is an interesting story that begins with introduction and continuous as you advance through the game. The biggest complain about the game is sound system. The sound effects are distracting and annoying; you hear police radio chatter and sirens that make you turn off audio within five minutes or so. All in all, Mahjongg Investigations: Under Suspicion is the appealing game due to involving game concept, multiple game modes, locations and clues.
