She gets involved to help police to unearth a series of crimes that is tiede with Cate West.s family. The game is divided into 15 cases, 5 levels in each case. When you start a case, you play classic seek and find game initially; you examine different locations throughout the city, collecting clues from the given list before time runs out. When all the clues are gathered our medium points out the objects, which have reference to the criminal; later, they will serve as the evidence in the court. After that, Cate needs to find the evildoer.s shelter by finding differences between two side by side pictures. Our heroine points out the street, where the criminal dwells and eight suspects from that very street are brought to the police station. Each suspect has photo and personal information and you need to compare this info with the clues and identify the criminal to arrest. And it is not all because the detective must give the testimony in the court by playing an interesting twist of find-the difference game. In this game, you are given the list of items, which must be placed in matching locations, so two pictures become identical.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Cate West: The Vanishing Files several is an amusing seek-and-find game that combines an intriguing mystery story and highly polished presentation. The story is really interesting; it develops in the form of dialogues between characters. The passages of voice-acting and subtle animations serve to make these cut-scenes much realistic, and atmospheric musical soundtracks suit the scenes perfectly. As for game locations, there are 29 of them, and although you will visit most of them several times, scenes like a rusted out tractor on the outskirts of town, a metallic gray subway car, a Chinatown market and an urban alleyway covered in posters and graffiti are visually compelling enough that you won't mind seeing them a second or even a third or fourth time. All in all, Cate West: The Vanishing Files is one of the best games of seek-and-find genre due to good duration, innovative game concept and intriguing storyline.
