Hidden object game. Detective Agency features an exciting storyline about James, who is a private detective. One day his pal Bill, from the Editorial department, gives him a lead on a theft that has just been committed. James decides to solve the case and the hidden object fun begins. The main goal you are going to have is to hunt a room full of objects, trying to find the items from the list. The game features lots of buildings you should visit and great amount of tasks you are to fulfill. The gameplay is not timed in the levels, but if you make too many wrong clicks, your cursor will be frozen for some time. The hint system differs from what you have got used to. Instead of highlighting the item you cannot find, you have to move a glass around the screen while it clicks and flashes confusingly until it starts beeping very quickly, which signifies that you are close to an item. This feature could be an interesting touch in the game if it was well-implemented.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Detective Agency provides its players with numerous locations to visit. I can't say that they are represented in a very detailed way though they are still looking nice. The game suggests you to play lots of interesting mini-games between the levels. The sound system suggests quite relevant to this game genre games. Overall, you will enjoy playing the game if you are a fan of the genre.
