Genre and what to do:
Puzzle. Jewel Quest 2 invites players to experience story of Professor Pack that full of adventures, love and betrayal. You never forget this unique quest throughout the world, which allows you to visit wild safari, Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls and other remarkable places. Your task is to swap jewels in order to match three or more of the same kind. When you create matches, the tiles under them become gold. You must turn all the tiles on the board into gold ones before time runs out to complete a level. Golden coins appear on the board randomly; when you match them you earn special moves that help you in difficult situations. There are two game modes Quest and Tournament. Playing Quest Mode you follow Professor Pack in his adventure uncovering new types of jewels and mighty power-ups. Tournament Mode allows you to challenge any player from all over the world and compete with him/her for better result via the Internet.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Jewel Quest 2 is a new interpretation of classic gem-swapping games that features colorful detailed graphics, standard set of sound effects, appropriate tribal music and even multiplayer. Graphics is nice though it doesn't differ much from the original jewel quest. As for storyline, it is interesting and captivating; unfortunately it is represented in form of professor's diary that you should read instead of comics strip or animated cut-scenes. One of the highlights is the possibility to replay any level that you unlock in Quest Mode. All in all, Jewel Quest 2 doesn't "fresh" game considering concept, but it contains all possible innovations that can be crammed in a game of this genre including multiplayer.
