Genre and what to do:
Puzzle. Visit Japan to discover beauty and inscrutability of Japanese rock gardens! The rock gardens need constant care of, so monks are working very hard to keep it in perfect condition. It is high time to roll up your sleeves and help the monk to carry out his duty. Your task is to guide the monk throughout a garden in order to rake all the sand. It isn't easy since there are different obstacles, such as stones and stone lanterns that make the task extremely challenging. The monk can't change direction while he is moving and he can't go through sand which is already raked. If it is too easy for you, some levels offer you to pick up leaves in definite order according to color. First you take yellow, then orange and finally red. If you get stuck, use undo or restart options.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Zen Puzzle Garden is a challenging game that features original game concept, simple solid graphics, and few sound effects. Quality of graphics is far away from perfection. It is designed in Japanese style, so you may see authentic pagodas, sakuras, lanterns, etc. As for the monk, he represented as bold humanoid with big eyes with rake in hands; you surely can't stand laughing when you see his moves. It is really fun! All-in-all, Zen Puzzle Garden isn't the best game as for graphics and sound effects, but it possesses more valuable (as for me) features: original game concept and addictive game play. It is the game for those whose brain demands constant challenge and training.
