Genre and what to do:
Strategy. Start as a captain of small pirate ship, with scanty crew, few cannons but strong desire to gain wealth and glory. As a captain you are to recruit crewmembers, bye ammunition, board enemy ships, capture towns, bribe governors, enter friendly ports to exchange loot for cash, supply your crew with provisions, share information with other ships to know where the best place for trade is and so on. There are several courses for your future career: You can just pillage, kill and capture everything and everybody on your way, or claim for the letter of marque from governors, or to make trader's career. The best way is to combine all in one.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
There is no person who doesn't dream in childhood to be a pirate. Cutthroats: Terror on the High Seas gives you a possibility to become a captain of a pirate ship in 17 th century. Sail around rich Caribbean region, feel the spirit of those times, take part in battles on sea and land-means to be free. Take under control the high seas and become famous pirate at all times.
