Third person shooter. In this game, you should be in the role of James Earl Cash. He is criminal who's sentenced to death row for a crime or crimes too heinous to even mention. Given a second chance by a power-hungry man known as "The Director," Cash is not killed. Instead, he's just given sedatives and taken to the cancerous barrio of a city known as Carcer City. The municipality of Carcer is controlled entirely by the Director, a.k.a. Starkweather, who's set up hundreds of cameras in every place possible, populated it with psycho gangs and a corrupt police force. Here, Cash is the one-man star of Starkweather's snuff films. So your main task is to do everything what Director wants. There are varieties of foes you need to face with, but you should see that all these foes exhibit exactly the same sort of behavior. You can find yourself being hunted by everything from thuggish gangsters to lunatics to SWAT teams to private armies. What can you do to save your life?
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
The word of criminal authorities, guns, dark streets and stolen cars. All these you can find in the game. It consists of 24 levels, which include 20 main levels and 4 bonus levels. The game is deep with intriguing "scenes," and it's polished and refined to create a cruel gameplay experience. Also game includes the great variety of close-range weapons include knives, machetes, axes, police clubs, sickles, and more; all of these can be used to instantly kill a foe in three distinctly different ways, and each method is generally more brutal than the last. Even though the technical aspects of the sound are impressive, equally impressive is the huge list of conversations and one-liners recorded here. The gangs are capable of hundreds of responses to Cash and one another, and they often talk to themselves, which is usually far more entertaining. Audio is a vital aspect of any stealth action game, and Manhunt really delivers in this respect. The executions sound as sickening as they look. Gunshots ring terribly loud and clear. The graphics is amazing too and provides great animation and visual effects. The video cams, static, old VCR tape effects and the like give this game a unique style.
