Action. You play as a member of special unit against terrorists and rebel forces. Before every mission there is a short briefing, which gives you background information and a set of objectives. You can be given such objectives as attack and eliminate, steal some secret information, rescue civilians, convoy, locate targets for air bombardment, etc. So you choose weapons and begin the way through vast dangerous territories overcrowded by enemies. You start a mission with several teammates, but you can't control them. Truly speaking the teammates are useless and are nothing more than cannon-fodder. One of highlights of the game is a sniper rifle; you can take cover and eliminate an enemy from huge distance (up to 1500 m).
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
Delta Force is an impressive shooter with a wide range of environments- from Peru to Arctic Russian island named Novaya Zemlya . Landscapes and surface topography match well to the geographic location of missions. Graphics is solid though with limitation of 3D engine. Enemies, buildings and other objects look realistic but lacking details. Sound effects are well done and realistic; you'll be greatly impressed by sounds of shots, explosions, screams of dying enemies and many others.
