Genre and what to do:
Action/Adventure. The main hero, Captain Lewis Stone, is a prisoner of Nazi camp during World War II. Your aim is to help Captain to escape from hateful captivity. Turn on your mind, use all possible ruses and knacks, put forth all your skills and abilities to succeed. You have daily routine in the camp, watch in-game clock in order not to miss anything, otherwise you may be punished. The clock shows where you must be at the moment and in nearest future. Communicate with other prisoners to get information and useful items. The guards are very suspicious and have special vision detectors. They shoot or arrest you if you are near the barbed wire fence or have some bulky objects stuck out of your pockets. If you are arrested you lose valuable items, cash and time. The gameplay demands a lot of patience; it is the key for success.
Style and atmosphere inside the game:
All the components of Prisoner of War create the oppressive atmosphere of Nazi prison camp. Graphics might be better- characters and buildings lack details. Music and sound effects are really outstanding. You can even hear beats of your heart when you are doing something forbidden. It is great experience for those who prefer to use stealth instead of silly gun.
