Live Billiards is a kind of meticulously developed project, which, despite of modest artwork; unveils billiards/pool tricks, that usually are out-of-reach to casual players, and were just seen on TV billiards contests, remaining a dream for an ordinary pool fan.

Five different pool tables, new ivory ball set in addition to classic one, six cues. Game has nine computer opponents with different levels of difficulty. Playing with live opponent is possible using same computer, or by network, or through online pool club. Online Pool Club, BillYard - is a modest extension, allowing many players to meet and play using web game server.
List of pool and billiard games included in Live Billiards 2 :
Straight Pool – this game, remained in history, is similar to 14.1 and is called "14.1 continuous". Players should pocket a number of balls, claimed when game starts.
14.1 - is a game where player should call pocket for each and every of all 14 balls. Only one ball and a one pocket should be chosen (called) each turn. If player has pocketed nominated ball into chosen pocket, then he is allowed to continue with next turn, until game ends.
3 Ball is shortened 8 ball version, played only with three object balls. Due to its shortness, 3 Ball is often played in several sets. As against to 8 Ball, 3 Ball is much more influenced by the luck, which makes this game often played for money.
8 Ball - is one of widespread games in the world. Each player is given by 7 balls of certain marking. Having all seven balls pocketed, a player should pocket the last one – 8 ball.
9 Ball - game is played with nine balls, and a first ball cue have touched, should have the least number.
Snooker - this game has biggest number of balls as to other cue games. Fifteen red ones, six of different colors, and 26th ball – is a cue ball of white color. Cushions for snooker table are narrower, than in other cue games, and due to increased ball size, pockets have more smooth opening curves. Game usually consists of odd number several sets, and winner is the one, who won bigger number of sets. Peculiarity of this game, is that each player can commit a loss, due to high score disparity between players.
Russian Pyramid - has much larger table than the one used to play pool, tight cushions, and fifteen white numbered balls. In classical pyramid any ball can be used as cue ball, and game goal is to pocket eight balls.
American style pool - This game is played with a sixteen balls without numbers, and there is no obligation to use a certain ball as cue ball.
Rotation - has fifteen numbered balls and a cue ball. Rules are close to Nine Ball, except of scoring system. As in Nin Ball, a first ball touched by cue ball should have lowest number. Numbers of legally pocketed balls are added to player's scores. Player who earned 61 or more scores is considered to be winner, since by earning a score of 61 makes impossible for opponent to win.
DeathMatch - is a hidden game version, where balls are texturized as Live Billiards developers heads.

Masse'/English shot.
The masse', for those unfamiliar with the term, is a technique that causes the cue ball to follow a curved path©. Kick shots, carom shots, indirect shots are easy to be made in Live Billiards. Legal jump shot will be available in next version. Despite of this, balls are easily to be kicked off the table right now. |
Conclusion:
Well, Live Billiards is still missing Carom billiards (One Pocket, Bumper Pool, Bank Pool, etc.). As well, hexagonal, octagonal, and even round tables are widely used in Billiards. There is much to be done, and has to be done.
